Zombie Walk: The Video

I finally had a chance to complete my little video montage from the 4th Annual Texas Frightmare Weekend ZombieWalk. I combined some time-lapse with some video of little happenings at the pre-walk.

One of the things holding me up was that the video was missing something. Luckily that something landing in my inbox a few days ago. One of the members of Rigor Mortis, you know that rockin’ heavy metal band that basically started Texas metal 25 years ago, sent me a couple of tracks from their last recording session. Best of all, one of the tracks was called The Infected and the beat was just perfect for the time-lapse. So, I emailed for permission and was able to wrap this up. Enjoy.

Note to self: Next year, get a little closer the them doing makeup. Too many people getting in the way of the action.

Lighting the Dome: A Time Lapse Short

The other night I stayed up late at work to capture the Lighting of the Dome: A Tribute to Dallas.

For 10 evenings, representing SMU’s 10 decades, Dallas Hall was illuminated in honor of the citizens of Dallas who generously provided the funds for SMU’s first building. Dallas Hall was awash in traditional red and blue. The display uses energy-efficient LED lighting.

It was quite a nice display, as you can see from the time lapse.

Engineering & Humanity Week 2011 Teaser

In March, I was contacted by the Hunt Institute to have the STAR Programcreate a promotional spot for their upcoming Engineering & Humanity Week.

During this Engineering & Humanity Week 2011, The Living Village will be home to students who will live, cook their meals and sleep in temporary shelters designed to house people displaced by war and natural disasters. Students, faculty and local members of the community will build the village on the SMU campus lawn, showing casing a variety of shelter technologies.

My STAR students thought up a few ideas and this is what we shot. Enjoy
